Nalder Protective Clothing is a New Zealand manufacturer that produces an extensive range of waterproof clothing for New Zealand industry. The business was founded at Port Nelson in 1992 by two enterprising young sail makers in response to the need of the local commercial fishing industry, to source waterproof clothing that would withstand the rigours of fishing for Orange Roughy in the deep water fishery off the Chatham Islands. Nalder products are now used by many industries in New Zealand and overseas.
Robert Leighs purchased the business in April 2008 and is building on the company’s reputation for producing functional and affordable waterproofs for New Zealand working conditions. The fabrics used are mostly sourced from Europe and are chemical resistant, hard wearing and 100% waterproof. Quality Hi Vis Safety clothing that is warm and waterproof is an important part of the Nalder range. Robert is happy to discuss your needs and recommend a fabric and design that will suit your purpose.
